The Australian Federal Government is offering comprehensive home sustainability assessments for FREE! Find out how you can start reducing your energy and water consumption and save lots of money on your utility bills.
As part of the Green Loans Scheme, the government will send a qualified home sustainability assessor to your home to help find ways for you to reduce your water and energy use and start saving money.
This is a free service offered by the government. After the assessment you will receive a tailored report highlighting problem areas or appliances within your home that are likely costing you too much and having a negative impact on the environment. After the assessment, you may be eligible for an interest free green loan of up to $10,000 to enable you to make your home more sustainable, based on the advice found in the report.
Other than for the purpose of obtaining a Green Loan, a sustainability assessment is a really good way to find issues that can very often be easily fixed. The assessors are experienced in the sustainability arena and can help you and your family find more sustainable ways of living - and potentially save you a lot of money!
